News "Chawaf's new novel, Le Manteau Noir, published"

Chantal Chawaf's 20th novel, Le Manteau Noir, has been published by Flammarion. Set 30+ years after the fateful 1943, in which Chawaf's own parents were killed, it tells the story of a woman "au manteau noir" who researches into her past, trying to find what was lost. This novel is an example of Chawaf's "autofiction," in the style of her first novel, Mother Love / Mother Earth (Rétable / La Revêrie).
