Chandra Talpade Mohanty |
Chandra Talpade Mohanty is Associate Professor of Women's Studies at Hamilton College, New York, and Core Faculty at the Union Institute Graduate School, Cincinnati. Her work focuses on transnational feminist theory, cultural studies, and antiracist education, and has been translated into German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese. She co-edited Third World Women and the Politics of Feminism (Indiana University Press, 1991), and Feminist Genealogies Colonial Legacies. Democratic Futures (Routledge, 1997), and is currently working on a book entitled Feminism Without Borders: Multiculturalism. Globalization and the Politics of Liberation. She is a member of the editorial collective of Cultural Critique, of the national advisory board of Signs. A Journal Of Women in Culture and Societv, and of the British journal Gender. Place and Culture. A Journal of Feminist Geographv. Ms. Mohanty is a member of the Executive Board of Grassroots Leadership of North Carolina, and of Awareness, Orissa, India. She edits a series of books on "Gender, Culture and Global Politics" for Garland Publishing of New York.
